About The Class

Our two-step basic Firearms Safety Program fulfills the Massachusetts firearms safety classroom training and live fire training requirements for your Massachusetts License to Carry (Mass LTC).  Our LTC course is 5-Star rated and it gives you the information you need to become a safe licensed gun owner in Massachusetts.   Our class is excellent for beginners and those with experience, alike.

After you take our basic firearms safety class and live fire class, we will submit your information to the Massachusetts State Gun Portal, where you will able to retrieve your official MA State training certificate.  Our 2-step firearms training program fulfills the new training requirements set forth by The Commonwealth of MA, as well as municipalities requiring live fire training.

Note: You MUST take our non-live fire basic firearms safety class in Rockland, MA BEFORE taking our live fire class.

The class fulfills classroom training elements required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is a discussion on basic firearms safety, assault weapons laws, storing/ carrying & transporting firearms legally, where you may and may not carry a firearm, safe storage, MA self-defense laws, routine traffic stops, deescalation, suicide prevention, use of force laws, purchasing a firearm in MA, federal laws and more. Students learn about semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, single and double action mechanisms. You will learn the different types of firearm & ammunition malfunctions and how to deal with them. We do hands on loaded and unloading of firearms with inert (dummy) ammunition.  We discuss the licensing application and interview process in Massachusetts and review the application for your License to carry.

MA LTC Class room training is conducted in Rockland, MA and runs 4.0 hours.  Training is conducted weekday evenings from 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  Check our schedule for our current classes.  The fee for Step 1 is $175*.
